Institute of Banking and Personal Selection(IBPS) has recently released the notification for conducting common entrance exam for clerical Jobs for recruiting into 19 Public sector banks. Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination.
Banks that accepts this score cards for recruiting of clerks into there banks are:
Allahabad Bank ,Indian Overseas Bank, Andhra Bank Oriental Bank of Commerce, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India Punjab & Sind Bank, Bank of Maharashtra , Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Union Bank of India
Corporation Bank, United Bank of India, Dena Bank , Vijaya Bank and Indian Bank.

ELIGIBILITY: Clerical cadre recruitment would be on State-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/ UT only . So it is better to select a particular area where the candidate is fluent in official language of that particular state and also as per the eligibility requirements of particular banks. As per the requirement of banks they will call the Candidates according to merit for recruiting clerk jobs in their banks.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.08.2011):
A pass with 60% marks in SSC OR A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) /11th Std. or (11+1+3) pattern OR Intermediate Equivalent examination OR Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Government or U.T. administration OR Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
WRITTEN EXAM PATTERN: Test will be objective type question format for about 150 minutes and the number of questions to be answered are 250 questions.
1 Test of Reasoning: 50 Q’s and 50 Marks
2 Test of English Language : 50 Q’s and 50 Marks
3 Test of Numerical Ability: 50 Q’s and 50 marks
4 Test of General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry: 50 Q’s and 50 Marks.
5 Test of Computer Knowledge: 50 Q’s and 50 Marks
Hence total 250 questions and 250 marks to be answered in 150 minutes.
NEGATIVE MARKING: There will be deduction 1/4 of marks for every wrong answer.
VALIDITY OF IBPSCLERKJOB SCORE CARD: This score card for Clerical jobs in banks will be valid up to 1 year from the issue date and candidates can enhance there scores.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Candidates can apply online only from 25.08.2011 to 24.09.2011 and no other mode of application will be accepted.
APPLICATION FEES (Payable from 24.08.2011 and 23.09.2011): Rs 50/- SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates and Rs. 350/- for all others.
